Hello, my name is Ian Woodard. I currently work as a Software Engineer at Sentry.io on the Dev Infra team. I work to remove friction from the development process and make it easier for engineers to build and ship code. I have bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
I love to build web applications in my free time. I have a wide range of experience with different technologies and frameworks. I am always looking to learn new things and expand my knowledge.

- Created the foundation for large scale automated code refactoring using concrete syntax trees in Python.
- Utilized automated code refactoring to safely replace usages of and ultimately deprecate a library.
- Developed linting to detect issues with unpinned mypy additional dependencies.
Snap Inc.
Santa Monica, CASoftware Engineering Intern
- Overhauled logic for configuring how uploaded media is handled across Snapchat, impacting billions of uploads on a daily basis.
- Engineered efficient algorithms for simplifying and evaluating complex propositional logic.
Lyft
RemoteSoftware Engineering Intern
- Utilized Python to develop a Slack bot to be used by regulatory agents within the company to more easily perform regulatory actions.
- Employed pytest and unittest as a means to mock and test my code.
- Developed an internal tool that uses a Python Flask API for the back end and uses React JS and MobX for the front end.

- Utilized C# to build off of and refactor existing code used to automate tests for a $200 million product.
